The Baobab (Baobab tree) is a tropical tree belonging to the Bombacaceae family, which grows spontaneously in Africa, Australia and Madagascar. It is called by Africans "Magic Tree", "Pharmacist Tree" and "Tree of Life"; the name "Baobab" is said to derive from the Arabic "BUHIBAB" (fruit with multiple seeds). Baobab Oil has remarkable beneficial properties for skin and hair.
PROPERTIES ON THE SKIN
Sunburn: whether caused by incorrect sun exposure or a burn of a different nature, it will help to alleviate the discomfort.
Red stretch marks: these are scars and, as such, cannot be removed with simple aesthetic treatments. However, when they are still red (i.e. in the initial stage), Baobab Oil helps to counteract the problem, preventing them from turning white. It is also used during pregnancy, to prevent stretch marks, and during breastfeeding, to prevent breast fissures.
Acne: it is an excellent natural remedy against acne. It reduces inflammation, alleviates discomfort and prevents the pathology from progressing further.
Psoriasis: reduces itching and helps to reduce inflammation. Mycosis: counteracts skin fungi, helps to resolve disorders such as tinea, athlete's foot, pityriasis and nail mycosis.
Anti-wrinkle: an antioxidant par excellence, it protects against free radicals and counteracts the signs of aging. It is also ideal for those with dry skin.
Contractures: indicated for toning and relaxing massages, against muscle pain and contractures.
PROPERTIES ON HAIR
Baobab Oil protects hair from cold, pollution and saltiness. It nourishes, makes hair elastic and soft. It can be used on both damp and dry hair.
As it is an oil, those with very oily scalps should use it in very small quantities, before drying and only on the ends. It can be applied as a pre-shampoo treatment and as a leave-in treatment, for dry, brittle and frizzy hair.
EXTRACTION METHOD: obtained by cold pressing from the fruit seeds.
